Collection: Purge Balls

Hookah purge balls, small, typically plastic or metal spheres, play a crucial role in modern hookah design.  They're integrated into the purge valve system, primarily functioning as one-way valves.  Their main purpose is to prevent water from the base from entering the hose when purging, ensuring a clean and efficient expulsion of stale smoke. When a smoker blows into the hose to clear the chamber, the increased pressure forces the hookah purge ball to seal the opening to the base. This directs the smoke out through the purge valve, rather than bubbling back into the water.  This prevents the water from becoming flavored with old smoke and keeps the draw smooth.

The advantages of purge balls include a cleaner-tasting smoke, easier purging, and a more hygienic hookah experience.  They simplify maintenance and contribute to a more enjoyable and flavorful session.  Without them, purging would be less effective and could lead to a harsh or stale taste.
